Racing Incident Report
Race One : (816) - RACING GOES ON 1600M HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 RED BRICK WARRIOR (K580) B Avdulla Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 3 FRANTANCK (H429) H Y Yuen Near the 900 Metres lay in and made contact with the running rail.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 GALE SAGA (J152) C L Chau C L Chau stated that his mount was under pressure from the 600 Metres and when not in a competitive position in the Home Straight he did not ride it out to the finish of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 SUPERB GUY (K323) J Orman Jumped only fairly.
Shortly after the start was bumped by ORIENTAL SURPRISE which shifted out.
J Orman stated that his instructions were to endeavour to shift to the outside in the Home Straight but was unable to do so.
He said when placed under pressure SUPERB GUY finished the race off in a one-paced manner and, in his opinion, may have reached the end of its preparation.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 GENERAL SMART (K138) A Atzeni From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 8 ZETTA FORCE (J546) E Brown Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 10 ORIENTAL SURPRISE (K028) Z Purton Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 PERFECTO MOMENTS (J003) M L Yeung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 HARRY'S HERO (H332) K Teetan Slow to begin.
Held up for clear running between the 450 Metres and the 300 Metres.
Horse No 13 GOLD TACK (H106) M Chadwick Knuckled on jumping.
Horse No 14 CASA LEGEND (G126) M F Poon From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Frantanck drove to the lead 1,250m out and fought back late when headed 100m out by Oriental Surprise to register a third win from 39 starts. He was a well-rated runner having his third start in Class Five. Oriental Surprise lost a thriller after briefly leading 100m out following a one-out, one-back run. He's racing well but can't get his head on top. General Smart ran on well for third travelling behind midfield wide with cover from gate 14. He can produce a good run now and then. Favourite Perfecto Moments had his chance after a box-seat run but could only manage fourth. It was another honest performance. Happydearhappydeer stayed on well for fifth after a one-off trip from midfield.
