Recap by phillip woo

Post-time favourite Ka Ying Attack was posted three wide in front before finding the fence 850m out and kicking clear in the straight for a fifth win from 18 starts. He was able to repeat carrying 12lb less in a higher grade following a cosy win last start. Beauty Bolt stayed on well for second after prompting the pace one off from gate nine. He has honest 1,400m form. Specked late Regal Gem ran on well for third after making his run third last from gate four. It was a better effort with a step up to 1,400m at his second start following a break. Early favourite Public Attention whacked on one paced with every chance after a box-seat run. It was an OK effort when retrying 1,400m after back-to-back thirds over 1,200m following a stable change.
