We are back at Sha Tin again on Sunday, with a good mix of competitive races leading up to the feature Class Two Shing Mun Handicap (1,200m).
Owen Goulding is back in the hot seat with an extended rundown of his selections.
Race 1 – Class Five Chai Wan Kok Handicap (1,200m)
Sky Song is yet to win at Sha Tin, but he ran well at the track last time out and now drops into a grade that he is unbeaten in.
Race 2 – Class Four Kwok Shui Handicap (1,200m) – first section
Circuit Victory has been struggling for form but he will come on from his return, has a nice racing weight after Britney Wong Po-ni’s claim and has a good draw.
Race 3 – Class Four Lo Wai Handicap (1,200m)
Gimme Five should be able to grab a soft lead from the inside barrier and can run them ragged to get Matthew Poon Ming-fai off the mark for the campaign.

Race 4 – Class Four Sha Tsui Handicap (1,400m)
Winning Machine is unexposed and ran a big one when fifth in a competitive race over track and distance last time. A repeat performance should be enough to go close.
Race 5 – Class Four Yan Chai Trophy Handicap (1,200m) – second section
Jubilant Star has been running some good trials, travelling well and stretching out nicely. He has drawn barrier one for his debut and Hugh Bowman is up.
Race 6 – Class Four Sham Tseng Handicap (1,600m)
Fight Time is in brilliant form and had a tough trip when a narrow second last week. The quick turnaround is no concern and he will be charging late.
Race 7 – Class Three Chinese Recreation Club Challenge Cup (1,200m)
Yee Cheong Glory was impressive on debut and had excuses in his follow-up run. He has been trialling well ahead of his return and has no weight to carry.
That's how you make your debut! 🫡

Race 8 – Class Three Shek Wai Kok Handicap (1,200m)
New Forest ran a cracker on return and should get a soft lead from stall four that he can take all the way to the house for this season’s dirt king Mark Newnham.
Race 9 – Class Two Shing Mun Handicap (1,200m)
Mid Winter Wind did best of those held up behind Tomadachi Kokoroe two weeks ago and should get a race run to suit on this occasion.
Race 10 – Class Three Yau Kom Tau Handicap (1,400m)
The Red Hare ran an eye-catching race on return and stepping back up to 1,400m is a big positive. He finally looks ready to put it all together.
