The stars are out to play at Sha Tin on Sunday, with a trio of Group Two races as we look ahead to December 14’s Longines Hong Kong International Races.
Ka Ying Rising, Voyage Bubble, Romantic Warrior and My Wish are the feature horses on a day to savour for every racing fan.
There are 10 races on the card and Owen Goulding is in the hot seat to provide an extended rundown of his selections.
Race 1 – Class Four BOCHK Cross-Border Services Handicap (1,200m)
All’s Well can be forgiven a poor run at Happy Valley last time and before that, he was a close third over course and distance. Hugh Bowman now gets the leg up.

Race 2 – Class Four BOCHK SME In One Handicap (1,400m)
Lucky Man was narrowly beaten in between a pair of poor runs where he was drawn in the car park. He has drawn one here and still has a bit of potential.
Race 3 – Class Four BOCHK Life Handicap (1,400m)
Do Your Part is becoming frustrating, but he has gone close on all three of his starts this season and Bowman is an obvious positive on top.
Race 4 – Class Three BOCHK “Banking TrendyToo” Handicap (2,000m)
Romantic Thor did best of those near the speed in a frantic race where plenty of these faced off last time. He can step forward from that and is interesting.

Race 5 – Class Three BOCHK Wealth Management Handicap (1,400m) – section one
The Red Hare has taken a while to come to hand, but he ran his best race yet when upped to this trip last time and can finally get his win.
Race 6 – Group Two BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1,200m)
Ka Ying Rising is the best sprinter in the world and is impossible to oppose, with gate 10 not even a consideration. He will ping out and prove a class apart.
Race 7 – Group Two BOCHK Private Wealth Jockey Club Mile (1,600m)
My Wish has been really impressive in Group Three and Group Two wins this season, and the step out of handicap company should not be enough to stop his march towards a Group One test.
My Wish's star just keeps on rising! 💫

Race 8 – Group Two BOCHK Jockey Club Cup (2,000m)
Romantic Warrior can defeat Voyage Bubble in a titanic clash. Danny Shum Chap-shing’s star has won this race twice and has looked as good as ever in trials after fetlock surgery; he can get back on track in devastating style.
Race 9 – Class Three BOCHK Credit Card Handicap (1,200m)
Public Attention was a Group Three winner in Australia and has caught the eye with winning trials. The fact he has been working with Tomodachi Kokoroe also raises eyebrows.
Race 10 – Class Three BOCHK Pay+ Handicap (1,400m) – section two
Blazing Wukong has run well in two starts this season carrying 135lb. He carries 18lb less in this and remains a potentially smart type for the future.
