Hollie Doyle will chase some extra Christmas presents in the form of winners to take back home with her to the UK as she finishes up her six-week Hong Kong stint at Happy Valley on Tuesday night.
The 10-time Group One-winning rider has enjoyed a huge amount of support in her short time in the city, which is evidenced by her final night at the Valley seeing her engaged in all nine races.
Heading into Tuesday, Doyle has ridden five winners and was just half a length away from Group Two glory when Sunlight Power was grabbed late by Galaxy Patch in the Jockey Club Mile in November.
“It has been better than I expected. Obviously coming here I didn’t know what to expect but thankfully I’ve received support from a range of trainers, which I’m really grateful for, and I picked up some winners along the way,” said Doyle.

“I’ve loved my time here and learned plenty, so I’m hoping I can come back here in the future.”
Doyle rides for six different trainers on Tuesday night including Francis Lui Kin-wai, who has given her the nod on Steps Ahead in the feature Class Two Neptune Handicap (1,650m).
The Written By galloper has been a victim of his own consistency, constantly edging up the weights due to near misses, and he is now 16 points above his last winning rating.
Rarely seen at the Valley, he was beaten a short-head on one of his two visits and Doyle is hoping the pair can overcome a tricky barrier in stall 10.
“It’s very competitive – there are lots of in-form horses including Soleil Fighter, who I know well,” said Doyle.

“Steps Ahead has done all his winning at Sha Tin which gives him a bit to prove, but he’s really consistent and the distance won’t be a problem.”
Doyle rates Know At Heart, who runs for Chris So Wai-yin in the first section of the Class Four Jupiter Handicap (1,200m), her best chance of a farewell winner.
He came within a short head of breaking his Hong Kong duck over course and distance last start and barrier three gives him every chance of going close again.
“It was annoying to get beaten last start because everything went perfect – he jumped nicely and got a good position but was just narrowly beaten despite trying really hard,” said Doyle.
“That’s the closest he has been to winning a race, so hopefully he’ll improve for the confidence of that. He wouldn’t know he got beat it was that close, so hopefully he’s still in good heart.”

Another of Doyle’s strong chances is Kasa Papa, who tackles section one of the Class Four Venus Handicap (1,650m).
The Tony Cruz-trained galloper went down swinging by a neck under Andrea Atzeni on his most recent start over 1,800m and will have no weight on his back on the drop back in distance.
“He’d been running on the all-weather but was beaten a neck back on the turf last time. Back down to 1,650m with a good draw [in barrier five] shouldn’t really be a problem,” said Doyle.
“He jumps well and holds his position and looks to be a good ride to pick up for Tony, who has been trying to give me some chances which I’m grateful for.”
On a busy night for Doyle, she also rides a pair of horses for Frankie Lor Fu-chuen and Manfred Man Ka-leung. Both trainers have been strong supporters of hers throughout her stint and she rides Golden Luck and Jolly Companion for Man, while she hops aboard Ever Smart and Money Catcher for Lor.
Her other rides are World Hero for David Hayes and Lightness Of Being for Cruz.
