Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (563) - CHUNG CHI ALUMNI HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 LUCKY MAN (J315) B Avdulla Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.
Passing the 200 Metres shifted in, resulting in its rider B Avdulla having to stop riding and straighten.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 MANYTHANKS FOREVER (J065) Z Purton Bumped at the start.
Near the 450 Metres was brushed by REGENCY HAPPY STAR which shifted out.
After the event, Z Purton could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 PERFECT PEACH (E488) L Hewitson From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 150 Metres raced tight to the inside of TIMESTORM and made contact with that runner.
Horse No 4 PERFECTO MOMENTS (J003) H Bentley After the event, H Bentley stated that his mount raced too keenly during the race and as a result did not run on in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 REGENCY HAPPY STAR (H248) A Badel Lay out in the Home Straight.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 FAMILY FORTUNE (H447) L Ferraris Bumped at the start.
Approaching the 150 Metres was disappointed for clear running between MANYTHANKS FOREVER and REGENCY HAPPY STAR which shifted out.
FAMILY FORTUNE was then shifted to the inside of REGENCY HAPPY STAR to obtain clear running.
Horse No 8 SONIC BOOM (H144) K Teetan After travelling a short distance was crowded by SO AWESOME and then shifted in, made contact with FLYING PHANTOM and became unbalanced.
After the event, K Teetan reported that when giving ground in the Home Straight he was concerned there may be something amiss with his mount.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, SONIC BOOM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 9 ALMIGHTY KICK (J254) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
Near the 150 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of MANYTHANKS FOREVER to continue into clear running.
Horse No 10 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) M L Yeung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 FLYING PHANTOM (J086) A Atzeni After traveling a short distance was steadied when crowded between BEAU GOSSE and SONIC BOOM which shifted in and away from SO AWESOME after racing tight to the inside of that runner.
Raced keenly in the early stages.
Horse No 12 TIMESTORM (G109) M F Poon From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 14 BEAU GOSSE (G389) P N Wong After the event, Apprentice P N Wong stated that her instructions were to lead the event to take advantage of its light weight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After enjoying a lovely run in the box seat from gate one, Regency Happy Star just prevailed by a head bob for a third win and two on the bounce from six starts following a stable transfer. Lucky Man was touched off late after getting his head in front just before the wire following a rails run from midfield. He's a winner waiting to happen if he remains in the grade. Family Fortune ran on well for third after a rails run from behind midfield. It was clearly his best performance from 10 starts and first following a fever in January. So Awesome succumbed late for fourth after tracking the speed from gate nine. He can bob up for a win at any moment. Flying Phantom made headway late near the outside after making his run five back and one off the fence. It was an OK effort following a placing when trying the dirt 1,200m last start. Almighty Kick ran on late through the middle without threatening after making his run one from the rear. Manythanks Forever found nothing after a prominent run with cover from gate three.
