Recap by phillip woo

Pray For Mir pinched the race after clearing to the lead from gate eight for a deserving second win at start 15. Chancheng Glory came to win the race 200m out after sitting third with cover from gate 10, but he couldn't peg back the winner. The 16-pound swing in the weights was the difference in the end. Beauty Eternal stayed on well for third after a handy run on the fence. It was one of his better efforts this term. Early favourite Sunlight Power ran on well for fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He struck a race run to suit those up front. Happy Together ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from midfield. It was another honest performance. Red Lion couldn't lift after tracking the speed on the fence from gate one. He wasn't beaten far in the end, but the big weight anchored him. Well-backed late, Divano cost himself after missing the kick.
