Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (810) - THE WONG CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 MR ENERGIA (J239) Z Purton Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 SMART FIGHTER (H278) L Ferraris After the event L Ferraris stated that he was obliged to make some use of his mount in the early stages to go forward.
He said the horse, which was having its first race start on the All Weather Track, may not appreciate racing on this surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 SPEEDY TRIDENT (K230) M Chadwick Jumped only fairly.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
Horse No 5 SIGHT HAPPY (J261) B Avdulla After the event B Avdulla advised that he was instructed to take up a forward position.
Horse No 6 MAGNIAC (H141) C L Chau After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on MAGNIAC at the request of Trainer T P Yung.
The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, MAGNIAC will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 7 DAILY TROPHY (H283) K Teetan Near the 350 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between SMART FIGHTER and SIGHT HAPPY.
As a result DAILY TROPHY was then shifted to the outside of SIGHT HAPPY where it obtained clear running near the 250 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 BEAUTY FORMULA (K066) Y L Chung On jumping made contact with the left side of the starting gate and lost ground.
Horse No 10 PRECIOUS HILL (J475) M L Yeung Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
After the event M L Yeung stated that his mount, which was having its first race start on the All Weather Track, did not appreciate racing on this surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 YEE CHEONG RAIDER (J176) A Atzeni After the event A Atzeni reported that his mount raced "flat" today.
Horse No 12 SUNNY DARLING (J171) K De Melo Jumped awkwardly, made heavy contact with the left side of its barrier and as a result lost ground.
After the event K De Melo stated that after losing ground at the start his mount settled further back in the field and was unable to make up ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Following a prominent run wide without cover from gate 10, Mr Energia was much too good after rushing to the lead 250m out for a third win from 14 starts. He was a Class Three horse back in Class Four. Daily Trophy ran on well to get the bob down for second after a prominent run on the fence. He's always a chance over this surface and trip. Sight Happy had to settle for third after a speed-tracking run from a tricky gate. It was an improved effort. Punted late, Fashion Legend had his chance after a handy run one off the fence but only whacked on one paced over the last 150m. It was an OK run off the quick back up following a dirt 1,650m win. Magniac ran on steadily for fifth after a rails run from midfield. He isn't far off a rating bottom. Yee Cheong Raider ran on without threatening after making his run three from the rear. He didn't get the race run to suit.
