Racing Incident Report
Race Nine : (178) - SHING YIP HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 SPEED DRAGON (H380) C Y Ho Had its left front plate adjusted in the saddling stalls.
Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Jumped only fairly.
Lay in in the Home Straight.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 TAJ DRAGON (H164) J McDonald From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Went amiss leaving the 600 Metres when it sustained an injury to its right front leg.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, TAJ DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 3 MARKWIN (J420) H Doyle Slow to begin and then was crowded between SING DRAGON and TELECOM FIGHTERS, both of which shifted ground.
H Doyle reported that her mount, which was having its first race start at Happy Valley, did not appreciate racing on the circuit.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, MARKWIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 5 SOLEIL FIGHTER (J127) Z Purton For a short distance leaving the 100 Metres raced in restricted room between SKY HEART and HUGE WAVE, both of which shifted ground slightly.
Horse No 6 MR ASCENDENCY (G227) R Kingscote From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 7 GUSTOSISIMO (J303) H Bowman H Bowman stated that his instructions were to lead if possible.
He said when TELECOM FIGHTERS held the lead and its rider showed intent on maintaining that position he elected to settle on its outside.
He added when the pace of the event steadied in the middle stages his mount was disadvantaged as it was unable to respond to his riding when the pace increased after the 500 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 9 TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482) H T Mo H T Mo stated that when pressured by GUSTOSISIMO from the 500 Metres his mount came under pressure and gave ground thereafter.

Horse No 12 FALLON (H219) M L Yeung From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Leaving the 600 Metres was steadied to avoid TAJ DRAGON when that runner gave ground quickly when it went amiss.
GENERAL:
1.
After the running of Race 3, the track classification was officially changed from "Good" to "Good to Firm" This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.
As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 3 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm"

Trainer D A Hayes was fined the sum of $5,000 for breaching the Track Work Regulations as a result of CHATER FLASH (L82) wearing the incorrect saddle cloth number during Conghua track work on Monday, 10 November 2025.
CHATER FLASH worked on the Small All Weather Track wearing saddle cloth number K374, the allocated saddle cloth for DASHING MAURISON.
DASHING MAURISON subsequently worked on the Small All Weather Track wearing its correct saddle cloth number.

Additions to Racing Incidents Report of 9 November 2025 Sha Tin Racemeeting Race 4 (163) GLORIASTAR - Near the 1100 Metres was steadied when HAPPY UNIVERSE (R Kingscote) shifted in when not quite clear.
R Kingscote was advised to exercise more care.
Race 10 (169) HEALTHY HAPPY - Near the 300 Metres C L Chau dropped his left rein for a short distance.
CHIU CHOW SPIRIT - Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

9 November 2025 Sha Tin Racemeeting Race 1 (160) H T Mo (COSMO LIGHT) was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 150 Metres.
A Badel (SUPREME WINNER) was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion after the 200 Metres and again near the 100 Metres.
Race 3 (162) A Badel (MY FLYING ANGEL) was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 170 Metres and again near the 150 Metres.
Race 5 (164) L Ferraris (INFINITE RESOLVE) was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 75 Metres.

Huge Wave travelled one off in midfield and ran down Sky Heart in the late stages for a fourth win from 19 starts. He was able to build on a good effort last month over 1,400m and is now one-from-one at the Valley. Thumped late in betting, Sky Heart found one too good after working to the lead 200m out following a wide trip without cover chasing the speed from gate nine. It was a better effort at his second outing up in Class Two this season. Soleil Fighter stayed on for third after a one-off trip travelling fifth from gate eight. He's as honest as the day is long over this course. Keefy ran on well for fourth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a better effort third up on his return to the Valley 1,650m of two wins last season. Fallon was doing his best work late for fifth after settling last from gate 12. He will be a force to be reckoned with shortly down in Class Three. Speed Dragon ran on without threatening after making his run two from the rear. He could not repeat carrying 9lb more after a win last month over a longer 1,800m. Taj Dragon broke down 500m out after travelling towards the rear.
