Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite Nyx Gluck came from last and widest out to take control near the 100m for a second win from 12 starts. The stable change worked the oracle, but he did get a race run to suit. Beauty Award ran on nicely through the centre for second after a rails run from midfield. He was suited by the step up to 1,400m after making an eye-catching run for sixth on debut over 1,200m. Strathpeffer stayed on nicely with two wider out for third after a wide trip with cover travelling behind midfield. He rarely produces a bad run over 1,400m. Cheerful Wongchoy made a good bid late for fourth after making his run second last from gate 11. It was clearly his best effort from six starts. Honorary succumbed late after claiming the lead just under the 400m after a speed-tracking run.
