PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
King Miles has stepped up wearing blinkers for two wins, including his latest after a torrid trip from midfield carrying an identical 131lb, and second from three C&D runs this term. He can win another. Symbol Of Strength woke up with a one-out, one-back fourth to Brave Star at $74 when trying the Valley 1,200m second up this term before coming away a badly held up 10th in that King Miles race. He must be kept safe. Lucky Planet has produced mixed results from five starts but was a front-running third to King Miles in October and a close sixth chasing the speed to that same rival last month from four C&D runs. He remains in the grade off a light weight and should give a good sight from gate four. Sports Legend hasn't won in a while but was a closing third after a tough run from gate 10 two runs ago over this C&D and is drawn to enjoy a much better run in transit.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
WONDER KIT (G455) shortly after the start became unbalanced when it made contact with a runner. Near the 50M was crowded - Race 224.
KING MILES (J158) jumped only fairly. After travelling a short distance shifted in and away from a runner and was steadied. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 216.
SYMBOL OF STRENGTH (K352) leaving the 1100M was crowded. Near the 250M was disappointed for clear running and as a result was unable to obtain clear running for the remainder of the event. Noted to have blood in the mouth after the race - Race 216.
LIGHTNESS OF BEING (K159) was withdrawn on the day before raceday by order of the Stewards on vet's advice (lame right hind) . Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 532.
ALL TOO BRAVE (K493) jumped awkwardly, shifted out and lost ground - Race 216.
SPORTS LEGEND (H456) jumped awkwardly. After being crossed by a runner near the 800M commenced to race keenly and was steadied for some distance thereafter - Race 222.
LUCKY PLANET (H235) lay in after travelling a short distance, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten his mount. Between the 300M and the 200M was bumped on a number of occasions as it endeavoured to prevent a runner from shifting out. Over the concluding stages raced tight - Race 216.
ROBOT LUCKY STAR (K485) raced wide and without cover in the early stages and near the 800M when racing keenly was hampered when taken wider. Shortly after got its head up when being steadied to obtain a position with cover - Race 213.
VET'S REPORT
LIGHTNESS OF BEING (K159) 22/03/2025 Lame right hind. Withdrawn from racing. Update: Right hind fetlock injury. (passed on 14/10/2025).
TRACKWORK HIGHLIGHT
Friends Of Shajing led and cruised to victory by more than two lengths in a recent dirt trial.
