Recap by phillip woo

After leading 200m out following a prominent run one off the fence, Tomodachi Kokoroe edged clear in a class-record time for a fifth win and first at Sha Tin from 32 starts. He lived up to his trials. Favourite Dancing Code found one too good after dictating the pace from gate two. It was another honest effort. Mid Winter Wind ran on steadily along the inside for third following a rails run from midfield. It was a return to form but he did win on debut last season. Harmony N Blessed just failed to place after a speed-tracking run from gate six. It was an improved effort at his second start this term. Sensationally backed, Brilliant Express was doing his best work late down the outside for fifth after making his run second last from gate seven. He's better suited over 1,400m.
